CEO, Executive Chef and Co-founder

As chef and co-owner of Marlow’s Tavern, Aqua Blue and Hi
Life Kitchen and Cocktails, John Metz is thrilling residents in the Atlanta area with cuisine that inspires.Trained by the best, John earned his degree at the Culinary Institute of America. He began his long-standing career at some of the finest restaurants in
New York such as The 21 Club, Tribeca Grill, Park Avenue
Cafe, Montrachet and Restaurant Daniel. 

Not only is Mr. Metz integrally involved in his own ventures,
but he is also heavily involved in the restaurant community. Currently, he serves on the Board of Directors of the National Restaurant Association and was appointed as Vice Chairman 2005 for the Distinguished Restaurants of North America (DiRoNA).


Architecture Design and Co-Founder

As creator, designer and partner behind Marlow’s Tavern, Aqua Blue, and Hi Life Kitchen and Cocktails all in the Atlanta area, Thomas DiGiorgio has made a mark in the culinary scene. 

Tom is the president of the award winning DK Group, a diversified holding company with current interests in construction, architecture, and real estate development.
Based in Pompano Beach, FL the DK Group’s current client list includes Brinker International, Darden, Marriott and McDonald’s. 

Tom’s full commitment to providing superior service to his clients has helped make him a powerhouse in the development
of commercial and residential real estate projects, as well as an influential member of the Georgia restaurant scene.


Chairman and Co-Founder

John C. Metz began his award-winning career in the hospitality industry in 1967 with the founding of Custom Management Corporation. After many years of success, Morrison’s Hospitality Group acquired the company in 1987 and Mr. Metz was named Chairman and CEO of Morrison’s.

In the early 1990’s, Mr. Metz turned his attention to franchise operations. After owning and operating 12 T.G.I.Friday’s restaurants he was named their Franchise Developer of the
Year. He added Krispy Kreme locations as well and continues
to operate successful franchise operations in the eastern US.
In 2008, Mr. Metz opened a Ruth’s Chris Steak House and Wolfgang Puck Express in the Mohegan Sun Casino at Pocono Downs. His list of accolades and designations is impressive
and extensive. 

In1994, Mr. Metz formed Metz & Associates Ltd. to provide dining solutions for Healthcare, Education and Corporate clients, a natural extension of his achievements in the food industry. He has proven through these successes, and many others, to possess a keen understanding of the business and a talent for developing long-term relationships that serve as the foundation for growth.


Market Partner

Joined Sterling Spoon Culinary Management in the fall of 2013 as a Market Partner overseeing several partnerships including the AFLAC headquarters in Columbus, Georgia. Mark's background includes a wide range of experience in various
roles through the industry. Since 1995, Bailey has helped develop and manage the daily operations for several metro Atlanta-area brands. His enthusiasm for the industry began
while cooking in high school and followed him throughout
his education at DeKalb Community College.

While studying business, he was inspired to combine his management skills with his passion for providing excellent customer service. This led him to pursue a career in retail restaurant management. He served as vice president of Roasters from 1995-2005, where he directed four locations and created
a managerial training program. In 2006, Bailey began working as director of training for Shane's Rib Shack, focusing on franchise development and corporate business consultants.

He joined Figo Pasta in July 2008 as director of operations and continued on to Mirko Pasta in the same position two years later.
He oversaw multiple aspects of both restaurants including franchise offering and management of more than 150 employees.

Brent Rabren

Vice President of Operations

Brent’s career in food and beverage started in 1997 with a strong passion for food and customer service. Following in his father's footsteps, he grew up busing and setting tables in restaurants his father managed. At the age of 18, Brent accepted his first management position in the hotel industry. 

Since then Brent has expanded his knowledge studying Hotel Restaurant Management and Business Management. He has had extensive knowledge and experience with Darden Restaurants, Healthcare, NASCAR, and most recently with Aramark. Brent's passion for food and strong leadership proved to invaluable and he was the first individual to be awarded the R.O.C.K award in 2013. Brent also developed an Executive Leadership Council focusing on developing young leaders while working toward their goals as professionals. 

Brent is a Georgia native where he now resides in Hiram with his family. He is also a very active member of his community coaching Little League Baseball and acting as Fundraising Chair for Premier Martial Arts in Powder Springs Georgia.
